Santiago with Charlene
I somehow convinced Charlene to come to Santiago to meet us for a visit! Maybe she didn't actually need too much convincing...anyway, we had a lovely time exploring the city: museums, ice cream, parks and old castles! On the way! Probably our last trip to Santiago for a while!! Republica Independiente del pisco! Charlene!!!! The above is the Santa Lucia hill, there's an old looking castle up on the top of the hill. The museums were interesting...First up: The Museo Nacional Bellas Artes - the exhibit on masculinity was maybe not our thing...but the architecture was really cool and there was a really lovely installation in the front area. As well as the bust of a perturbed David: Bellas Artes is connected to the modern art museum, which we also liked: (I know the photos are terrible, but I didn't want to bring the camera everywhere, it's heavy!!)
