The Roscoes Do...

We drove out to Hotel Botanique for the long weekend. It's about a three hour drive from our apartment in Sao Paulo in a place called  Bairro dos Mellos , and it's a gorgeous! The hotel is surrounded by subtropical forests, hills, and valleys. Once you arrive at the hotel, there is no use of cars on the property, only golf carts, biking, or walking. It is hard to believe a place like this exists so close to the city! I already want to go back -- this is my favorite place we've visited so far! Another weekend, another chance to get out of the city. Our friends Lu and Tobias have twins...and two houses at the beach. When they aren't renting them out, they are kind enough to let us invite ourselves over for a Bar-B-Q (Tobias is great on the grill). We took a leisurely drive to the beach...and got there late Saturday, and stopped over for a bit of lunch: Our hotel was at one end of the beach - gorgeous! Sunday, we went over to our friend's place for a BBQ. Aren't the views incredible? Glen making friends with Cecilia Beno can't be bothered, busy with his banana (A+ for alliteration) And here's Beno with Lu - delicious! And after that, it rained, so no more pictures.
