Day at the Museum
On Sunday, we visited Pinacoteca de Sao Paulo - Pinacoteca Website - and loved it!
Pinacoteca is the oldest art museum in Sao Paulo. It was renovated in the '90's and is a very open space with exposed brick and and the main "room" has a giant glass ceiling.
There were some really great sculptures there.

I loved the glass up top, there was a lot of great natural light.
The garden outside
Water was brown, wouldn't want to drink or swim in that! Pretty fountain though!
There is a park nearby that we passed through with some interesting sculptures around the lawns.
I'd go back - of the museums I've visited in Sao Paulo, Pinacoteca is my favorite by far. Not only is it interesting architecturally, it has some great pieces by Brazilian artists, and the park next door is really beautiful for taking a stroll in after wandering the museum.
Ciao gente!
